Here we are! I had never noticed it before so this must be another room the hotel has decided to open us for us.

Ah, and look at all these books!

[ He's disappointed to find that they're all about plants, but still! He'll start flipping through them. ]

There's so many! I wonder why.

I'm not sure. The staff wanted us to copy them onto pamphlets or something. I'm hoping it means we get to go outside soon.

[lunchbreaks]

Wouldn't that be nice? I'd love to see outside again.

What were the pamphlets about?

[scaredofdogs]

Plants of course! [He grins and plops down at the table. He doesn't care much about reading the books, but he does like to use the watercolors.]

Why couldn't they just... publish more books?

[scaredofdogs]

Maybe there are more books somewhere but they just brought these out because they are getting ready to take us somewhere. There is still a chance a full library could be in the hotel if they have this many books about plants.

A full library... Oh I hope so. It's been dreadfully boring, nothing to read!

[scaredofdogs]

Now you have books about plants! That's not nothing.

[lunchbreaks]

Well. No. They are. Books I suppose.

[ But he looks very disappointed about this. ]

You have paper, you could always write a book. And then at least other people would have something to read.

[lunchbreaks]

Oh. Yes! I have many stories memorized. I should transcribe some for others to read. I'll translate some, so you can read them!

What sort of tales do you like?

[scaredofdogs]

Most of the stories I hear are about night hunts and ghosts and corpses and fighting. So honestly..any sort of tale you want to write for me I'll be able to enjoy.

[lunchbreaks]

C-corpses?

[ Ghosts he remembers, night hunts he can guess, fighting yes of course. ]

Ah..yeah..I've had to deal with quite a few of those. Never make for very good stories. You shouldn't worry about that.

[Most of the stories involve Wen Ning when it comes to strong corpses and that is a story too long to explain.]

But now I'm curious. Why are there corpses?

[ He missed the part where they're reanimated. ]

Well, where we are from corpses can come alive and attack people. It's our job to stop them.

[Or control them..depending on skill set..]

[lunchbreaks]

What? That seems like the opposite of what corpses are supposed to do!

[scaredofdogs]

Ahh..well I guess that depends on where you are from. It's pretty normal for me.

[lunchbreaks]

But how do you kill them so they... don't return?

--Ah, is that your... demonic cultivation?

[scaredofdogs]

Well..that is more using them to fight..which if they fight each other then yes, in a way that could kill them. But basically they are driven by resentful energy so the key is to try and rid them of that, try to get the soul to move on from unfinished business..there are a couple ways to make the dead stay dead.
