I asked the Hint Machine where we could find the Fire Snatchers and the Hint Machine told me just this:
THE MINES.
Molly couldn't describe a lot of what he saw down there but could you give it a try? I know I'm asking a lot, given what Molly told me what happened, but do you remember anything that stood out to you when there?
We were transported there, and all had been awake and not in a state of knowing how we'd arrived, but also not questioning it. We kept walking - it was very cramped, and I had been keeping an eye on our lanterns in case we went somewhere with no oxygen.
We seemed to be walking for hours when we happened across an abandoned mine cart with a glove and a helmet inside. I moved to go examine it, but we were attacked. I do not mean this lightly.
I was given this body by Heaven; it appears to be human, but it has other capabilities. Though this plane requires for it to sleep and keep sustenance, I can still choose what I want to have adorned on my skin or underneath it. In fact, I was very incorrect about human anatomy when I first owned it and had my heart where my stomach should be, when I'd made the effort to have a heart at all. I mention this because it is possible for me to not have internal organs at all, and when I do not, they are not hiding somewhere within me; they simply do not exist.
I did not have my wings drawn, but this creature that attacked us reached in and pulled out one of my wings, fully formed, and ripped it from my back. It was very jarring, as you might think, since I should not have had wings at the time at all.
It reached into my body as if my skin was permeable, and manifested my wings as if it could use my body as its own, and before I could heal myself, or really even recover, it went for Molly's eyes.
It was finished with us after taking Akechi's legs - it was his Achilles' tendon, which is the strongest in the human body. It is very difficult to slice through, and when that happens so quickly, it makes a noise like a gunshot. The next thing I knew, it opened its great big maw and swallowed us.
After that, I awoke in the Invincible.
I hope you understand, if this creature is a fire-snatcher, then we should proceed with caution, particularly if it what it wants is our light. Aziraphale.
